Sunday Stealing: 40 of The Most Random Questions Meme, Part Two

Happy Sunday!

21. What’s something you’ve always wanted?
I've always wanted to spontaneously pack a bag, go to the airport, and take the first available flight to somewhere I've never been for a nice, long vacation.  Of course, what with the children, that won't be happening anytime soon.

22. Do you have hairy legs?
Right now, they're not really hairy . . . just kind of stubbly.

23. What does “Semper Fidelis” stand for?
Always Faithful . . . my Latin teacher would be so proud!  Actually, I've played the Semper Fi march (Sousa) so many times, I could practically do it in my sleep, and my ex was a Marine.  My Latin teacher has nothing to do with my knowing Semper Fi.

24. Would you rather swim in the ocean or a lake?
Ocean.  Lakes always squick me out, what with all the plants growing beneath the surface that tend to brush up against your legs when you're swimming, like some grody, ewwie, tentacley lake monster.  At least the seaweed in the ocean tends to stay where you're NOT swimming.

25. Do you wear a lot of black?
Not really.

26. Describe your hair:
It's brown.  It's long-ish.  In the summertime, it sports some pretty red-ish blonde highlights.  It's straight-ish, and 97% of the time, it's up in a ponytail.

27. Do you have Entomophobia?
I wouldn't necessarily classify my aversion to bugs as a phobia, per se.  Just an aversion.

28. Are you an adult?
Yes.

29. Do you own or rent?
Own.

30. Do you have a tan?
Nope!  I'm a pale, pasty girl from NEPA.

31. Are you addicted to TV?
No, I don't think so.  I'm addicted to certain shows, but not to TV in general.

32. Do you enjoy spending time with your In-laws?
Absolutely!  My in-laws are awesome.   :-)

33. Are you a sugar freak?
No.  Or, at least, I try not to be.

34. What happened to Larry King?
I have no idea.  What?

35. What sign are you?
Leo . . . not that I subscribe to that sort of thing.

36. What do you wish on your birthday?
Usually for a nice, quiet night with my husband.  (It rarely happens.)

37. Who did you copy this from?
My favorite Sunday meme, of course!  Sunday Stealing, with Mr. Lance!  Yay!

38. Do you eat breakfast?
Yes.  I do my best, anyway.

39. What would you name the royal baby?
I hope it's a normal name . . . I have nothing against unique names, of course, but some of the celebrity names out there are just absurd.  This royal kid will have more-than-enough time in the spotlight.  He/she doesn't need a freaky-ass name.

40. Do you buy a newspaper?
Yep.  Every day.  I like the coupons on Sundays, and my dad and husband like the crosswords.  No one really reads it for the news, though.  That's just depressing.

  1. The ocean really?? The ocean freaks me out like the lake freaks you out! Lol.. I'm surrounded by the Great Lakes and I swim in Lake Michigan. I've never had anything creepy happen there, unlike the ocean where things will sting you, attack you, poison you if you step on some living something beneath.. No thanks. I'll stick to the lakes and the occasional seaweed encounter. :)

    1. Now that you've mentioned stingy, attacky, and poisony things in the ocean, I'm going to amend my answer to, "Neither!" I'm going to go with the dam where my in-laws have the clam bake every July. It's lake-like, but with moving water, so no stingy, attacky, poisony, OR brushy-up-plant-thingies!

      Win-win! :-)

  2. I never had enough nerve for your #21. I didn't have the nerve to travel somewhere by myself until I was 60 years old!

  3. I would love to go to the airport and just hop on a plane. But, since I am a cheapo, I'd never buy a plane ticket at the airport.

    1. I live such a sheltered life, that I didn't know that buying a ticket at the airport would be more expensive than buying it elsewhere. :-o

  4. Also, the Royal baby will have to have a "normal name" as he/she will be King/Queen one day.

    1. Seriously! I mean, who the hell wants to hear, "God save the King, King Kal-El."

I love Nicholas Cage, but Kal-El? Really?

  5. I think there will be a lot of pressure on the Duke and Duchess to name he/she something spectacular. I am told this will be a rather important kid. I agree with you. Something simple would refreshing.
