Saturday 9: We Owned the Night


  1. Can you recall a time when you danced and romanced like you "owned the night"?
    Absolutely!  Back in times BC . . . Before Children, that is.  Way too much dancing and romancing, and "owning the night", if you ask me.  But ooh . . . boy, howdy, did I have a LOT of fun!
  2. Samantha Winters admits she earned the name "Crazy Sam" during her party girl days in the 1980s.  But now she's in bed by 11:00 PM.  Do you have a regular bedtime?
    I try to be in bed by 10:00 PM -- especially on "school nights".  It doesn't always happen, though not for lack of trying . . . that's for damn sure.  I'd be in bed before the kids if I was able!
  3. Lady Antebellum is one of the most popular acts in country music.  Do you often listen to country music?
    Not so much.  I don't not like country music, but I much prefer other genres.
  4. Are you responding to this meme on a desktop or laptop or phone or tablet?
    Laptop.
  5. How often do you check your horoscope?
    Next to never. 
  6. Congratulations!  You just won a trip to Switzerland!  Is your passport up to date?
    No.  Fuck.  I don't even have a passport.  I need to fix that.
  7. Do you know how to snow ski?
    Nope.  Not even a little bit.  I went skiing once.  I did okay on the bunny slopes, but I had to walk down an intermediate slope because it was safer for me (not to mention all those in the vicinity of 'me') than trying to ski down it.  Hell, I should've known better . . . I nearly broke my neck getting off the ski lift!  I never should've attempted a slope. 
  8. What's the first beverage you drink in the morning?
    Coffee!  Duh?!  Is there any other choice?!?
  9. Are you a good speller?
    Nope.  Not even a little bit.  If it weren't for spell-check, you'd all think I was an idiotic buffoon.

  1. My ski experiences sound similar to yours. Maybe if there is such a free trip, I can spend my time in front of a fireplace at a ski lodge, drinking Swiss hot chocolate. Safer that way.

  3. Oh thank god! I thought I was the only adult without a passport. Even Spawn's been abroad more times them me, which is a lot...on account of the fact that I don't have a passport.
